How To Get Clear Skin - Tips & Tricks

I would like to start by saying that weather you follow these tips or not, your probably still going to get spots. It's just a part of growing up and becoming a teenager. But if you incorporate these steps in to your day to day life then you should notice the amounts of breakouts are reduced.

  1. Wash your skin at least twice a day - I think this one is pretty self explanatory but of course it is important to keep your skin clean as a start. Washing your skin in the morning and at night will drastically change your skin.
  2. Drink plenty of water - Drinking water is not only good for your skin its also good for other things such as your metabolism. Keeping your skin hydrated is definitely key when you want to get clear skin.
  3. Remove your make up before going to bed - Sleeping with make up on is basically the worst thing you can do to your skin! All you need to do is take a make up wipe of a cleanser over your face be for you go to sleep, that's all! If you can find time to brush your teeth, you can find time to remove your make up to.
  4. Eat healthy - this one kinda goes along with the drinking more water. Putting good healthy food into your body really helps your skin and you're general health to.
  5. Keep your hair clean - I know it's not good for your hair to be washing it all he time, but when your hair is all in your face the oil and grease will get in your skin and cause it to break out.
  6. Don't pop spots - when you pop a spot, not only dose it it leave a scar so it will probably be there slightly for longer than intended, but you know that pus that comes out of it? Half of that comes out of the spot, but the other half goes in to your skin, travels inside the skin and causes more break outs. So it may seem worth it at the moment, but believe me it's not!
  7. Use salicylic acid - This is a chemical that is in many spot treatment and cleansers and i believe is definitely an ingredient that i look for in a skin care product
  8. Moisturise - This tip is a warning to all my oily skin girls (and boys) out there who thinks it's okay to not moisturise; NO! Moisturising is soo important. If you do happen to have oily skin then just use an oil free / mattyfying moisturiser. This isn't really to help prevent spots its more to protect your skin from the sun (even in winter) and stop it from ageing as fast (even if you are only young)
  9. Go and see a doctor - If you are seriously concerned about your skin than there's nothing stopping you from popping to the chemist or doctors and asking for they're advise. They might even prescribe you to some medication to help.
If you have any tips or tricks of your own please leave them in the comments below. I really hope these tips have helped you!x
