Autumn Yankee Candles!

I have recently got this set from Yankee Candle witch is a collection of their best autumn scents. It includes 6 sample Yankee Candles from their Simply Home collection (individually retailing for £1.35 each) witch claim to burn for 15 hours each. This item costs £6 witch is a complete and utter bargain!!

Simply Cinnamon:

This is probably my favourite of the 6. You could definitely say that this candle is the inspiration for this entire collection as it is very spicy (witch is usually the theme for most autumnal candles). It is very strong and you definitely don't need to be burning it for long before the entire room smells like cinnamon! I know this scent will not be everyone's cup of tea as I do not know a lot of people who are a fan of this one, but I can personally say it is a lovely scent and is very festive.

Raspberry Sundae:

This is a slightly sweeter scent compared to the wrest. You can definitely smell the raspberry in this one and also the cream from the 'sundae' part. I think this will be one of those that everyone likes! It has a subtle spiciness to it as well as it is sweet. It is slightly less overpowering than the cinnamon witch can be a good or bad thing. I have found that this candle some how lasts a lot longer than the rest.

Cherry Vanilla:

I'm not to sure what I think of this one... Out of the 6 this is probably the one I gravitate to the least but I will still burn it. You can definitely smell a lot more of the vanilla then expected and the cherry is quite subtle, but that might make it sound more appealing to some people... I'm really not sure!

Soft Cotton:

I would probably not class this as an autumn scent but and all year 'round one. It is a very clean and fresh scent that basically smells just like freshly washed laundry. I found this one to burn especially fast compare to the others (but that could be just because I have it burning for hours on end). Like the 'raspberry sundae' candle it is very subtle and would probably be to everyone's liking.

Vanilla Frosting:

This is one of those that you will either love, or hate! It is very sickly and smells very strongly of vanilla and cream ( kind of like a custard cream if you live in the uk ). I personally like this one as I do like ones that smell like food or sweets but I'm sure there is are a lot of you that don't! It just leaves your room smelling like a bakery. As you can probably imagine it is not very spicy but I would still consider this as a autumn / winter scent - maybe slightly more towards winter and Christmas time.

Apple Crumble:

This is very similar to the 'simply cinnamon' candle but slightly more sweet. It does literally smell like apple crumble though! Once again this is quite sickly so you'll either love it or you'll hate it. But I personally love it! It makes the room smell as if someone is baking apple crumble. You would also definitely get away with burning this one in the winter as well as the autumn!

5 Random Things You Need For Back To School!

So that time of the year has rolled around again; back to school. Weather you are going from primary school to high school, high school to college, college to university, or even just moving up a year, you still have to prepare your self for going back to school and start a whole new year from scratch. Here are my 5 things that you definitely need for back to school. Enjoy :)

1. A Planner.

Keeping a planner is a great way to stay organized with homework and assignments. Most planners include a weekly / monthly calender so you can also jot down important events. By writing down when you have tests or papers due, you wont have to worry about turning in anything late or turning up for a test you haven't studied for ever again! It's also a good idea to include your school time table so you always know what classes you have.

2. Coloured Pens.

Making you're work extra colourful not only makes it more pleasant to mark for the teacher, it's more organized and easy to understand. Also when you're studying, adding a touch of colour will help you remember it better and once again more pleasant to read. But make sure you don't use a million colour's when writing tests, they usually need to be wrote in black or blue ink only.

3. Chewing Gum.
Guaranteed, everyone will love you if you have chewing gum! But make sure you get the large pots and not the little strips because if one person wants one, everyone will and before you know it; empty packet. Also, a little life hack for you. If you chew an unusual or unfamiliar flavour of gum whilst studying, then chewing that exact same gum during the test, your memory will track it's self back and remember all the information better. Just make sure you're aloud to chew gum with the teacher you have encase you get detention!

4. Black leggings.
Unless you ware a school uniform, I'm sure you will go through countless amounts of black leggings, so I would recommend you stock up early so you have plenty on the go when you need them. And make sure you get plenty of them because we've all been in that situation when we can't find a single pair of leggings with out a hole in them!

5. Hand sanitizer.
Hand sanitizer is vital to surviving school! You never know what germs are on the door knobs or hand rails and it's not ideal to have to run to the bathroom all the time to wash your hands. That's where this comes in to play. I'm sure we've all been in that situation where we have to go the the toilet quickly between classes. You now have to make the decision; are you going to be late to class or actually wash your hands? Now you can just pop some hand sanitizer on on your way out and still be on time to class.

The Perfect Pamper Night!

Personally, I do love to give my self a little pamper at least once a week so I can relax from the previous week and prepare my self for the week ahead of me. It's also a great thing to do the night before a big event to get your self feeling extra nice. Here are a few things I like to do on my pamper night and a few essentials that yo definitely need.

    • Run a bath: A bath is one of the best ways to relax your muscles. I enjoy reading in the bath (very carefully) as this is usually the only free time I get to really get lost in a book. You can add any bath bombs or bubble baths you like to make your skin feel extra soft, I would recommend lush. Candles are a great way to create the perfect atmosphere. If your not a fan of scented candles you can get unscented one, or fake flames if you don't feel comfortable with real flames around you. I also really like to drink water in the that (obviously fresh water in a glass not the bath water) as it is very good for the skin and the body. Drinking water is a great way to pamper the body on the inside.
    • Apply a face mask: Every now and again your skin just needs a deep cleanse to draw all the impurities and dirt deep down that most cleansers can't reach. There are various different types of masks you can use, for example, the sheet mask witch is essentially a sheet absorbed in products to make your skin feel amazing! Just place it on your skin, let it sit, peal it off then rub the excess product in to the skin. This is definitely the least messy method out of them all. Or you could use a peal off mask. This usually comes in a gel form that you just apply to the skin, leave it to set on the skin and go hard, then peel it off. Another type is a clay mask. This is my personal favourite type of mask just because I find it cleans deeper in to the skin and leaves it feeling softer. All you have to do is apply it to the skin and let it dry or go hard (just like the peel off mask) then rinse it off with warm water.
    • Exfoliate and moisturise the body: Now it's time to give your body some love. Exfoliate all the dead skin cells from your skin and really soften it. If you're planning on shaving or waxing your leg's (or any part of your body for that matter) it's a good idea to exfoliate before hand as it makes all the follicle stand up witch makes for a smoother shave. I'd recommend the ones from soap & glory or the zoella beauty one. After you have got out of your bath, pop some body moisturiser or body butter to inject moisture back in to the skin.
    • Use a hair mask: Using a deep treatment hair mask at least once a week with help your hair look soft and shiny. It also helps your hair grow faster and healthier. A hair mask is basically a much more nourishing and intense conditioner. But you usually have to leave these on for about 10-15 minutes. Make sure to shampoo before hand so your hair doesn't get to greasy, and also only apply it to the lengths of your hair keeping it away from the routes for the same reason.

    • Just chill: When you take this time out for your self, it's important to just relax and appreciate some 'me time' whilst you have it. Make some hot chocolate (or any drink of your choice) and indulge in your favourite junk food. You've earned it! You could also listen to relaxing music or give your self a nice temple massage; just do what ever it takes to get the maximum level of relaxation. You could also paint your nails to make your self feel extra pretty, or you could also apply self tanner if you usually do so since your body is already exfoliated, and once again just to make your self feel and look nice.
    Happy pampering!xxx

    July Favourites!

Here are some of the things I have been loving through the month of July! I hope you enjoy! :)

    BEAUTY:

Maybelline ; Classic volume express mascara, waterproof :

I can finally say that I  have found a mascara that, lengthens, volumizes and defines for a drug store price! Although the label suggests that this mascaras aim is to volumize, I would definitely say this is more of a lengthening mascara witch is why I love it so much! But it also gives an amazing amount of volume and definition as well. I can confirm that this is very waterproof after I went swimming wearing this mascara and came out of the pool with it still looking almost perfect. This is now my new holy grail mascara and I probably will never have to invest in a expensive one ever again!

Zoella beauty ; Scrubbing me softly, smoothing body scrub :

One word, WOW! As I do enjoy to pamper myself regularly, I enjoy experimenting with different products that make my skin feel amazing and soft. And I can definitely say this product does exactly that. I have tried various body scrubs in the past but not one of them can compete to this one. This has many 'skin loving' ingredients including acai, blueberry and conditioning cocoa butter. After using this product my skin is never left felling sensitive or damaged in anyway. I have pretty bad eczema all over my body witch means I am quite limited to the products that I can and can't use without my skin feeling irritated and this scrub hasn't bothered my skin at all. The scent is fresh and feminine witch is fitting for this time of the year , but I'm sure you could get away with this all year around (but if the scent does bother you it doesn't linger or is awfully strong so you don't rely have to worry about it)

Zoella beauty ; Fizz bar :
Noticing a trend yet? Another Zoella beauty product! To be completely honest, the whole range in general is a favourite of mine, but I've decided to just mention a few of her products. My first impression of this product was "this is amazing!!" Instantly when I but this in by bath (I used 1 cube by the way) it made the water feel and smell lovely. I could have sworn I was using a lush bath bomb at the time. A combination of this and the scrub leaves the skin feeling incredible! I am so astounded that this is even a drug store product! Since it is in the form of a chocolate bar, you only use 1-2 cubes at a time meaning this item will last a very long time. If you think about it, your rely only paying roughly £1 per 'fizzer'. I will never use a lush bath bomb again!

    FASHION:

    Primark tan dolly shoes :

These are just those shoes that I wear with everything. The cut-out detailing along the sides make these rely unique and the colour of the leather is very wearable. I seriously don't know how these aren't falling apart the amount I wear them!
    LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE

    Topshop white hair bow ;
Recently I've been wearing this bow pretty much all the time in my hair! Call me childish but I love a good hair bow, The white is very wearable and flatters my hair colour. This pretty much adds a touch of girlyness to every outfit.

    TELEVISION:

    Only fools and horses :

I've grown up watching this program with my dad, but recently when he was away for a few nights on business I got the chance to rely watch this properly and have been enjoying it all month! If you want to laugh, then this is the show for you! It's based in the 1990's - early 2000's so it definitely isn't the most modern show out there, but I just think its a classic and I'v rely been enjoying it.

    MUSIC:

    Little mix - Black magic.

This song has been in my head all month and has me dancing every time!

    Gold Raidio ;
This radio station is pretty much all i've been listening to this month! (if I wasn't listening to black magic of course). It breaks down the best hits from the 1960/70/80 witch may not not be everyone's piece of cake, but I personally love old music!

Let me know in the comments what you've been loving this month! x :)

How To Get Clear Skin - Tips & Tricks

I would like to start by saying that weather you follow these tips or not, your probably still going to get spots. It's just a part of growing up and becoming a teenager. But if you incorporate these steps in to your day to day life then you should notice the amounts of breakouts are reduced.

    1. Wash your skin at least twice a day - I think this one is pretty self explanatory but of course it is important to keep your skin clean as a start. Washing your skin in the morning and at night will drastically change your skin.
    2. Drink plenty of water - Drinking water is not only good for your skin its also good for other things such as your metabolism. Keeping your skin hydrated is definitely key when you want to get clear skin.
    3. Remove your make up before going to bed - Sleeping with make up on is basically the worst thing you can do to your skin! All you need to do is take a make up wipe of a cleanser over your face be for you go to sleep, that's all! If you can find time to brush your teeth, you can find time to remove your make up to.
    4. Eat healthy - this one kinda goes along with the drinking more water. Putting good healthy food into your body really helps your skin and you're general health to.
    5. Keep your hair clean - I know it's not good for your hair to be washing it all he time, but when your hair is all in your face the oil and grease will get in your skin and cause it to break out.
    6. Don't pop spots - when you pop a spot, not only dose it it leave a scar so it will probably be there slightly for longer than intended, but you know that pus that comes out of it? Half of that comes out of the spot, but the other half goes in to your skin, travels inside the skin and causes more break outs. So it may seem worth it at the moment, but believe me it's not!
    7. Use salicylic acid - This is a chemical that is in many spot treatment and cleansers and i believe is definitely an ingredient that i look for in a skin care product
    8. Moisturise - This tip is a warning to all my oily skin girls (and boys) out there who thinks it's okay to not moisturise; NO! Moisturising is soo important. If you do happen to have oily skin then just use an oil free / mattyfying moisturiser. This isn't really to help prevent spots its more to protect your skin from the sun (even in winter) and stop it from ageing as fast (even if you are only young)
    9. Go and see a doctor - If you are seriously concerned about your skin than there's nothing stopping you from popping to the chemist or doctors and asking for they're advise. They might even prescribe you to some medication to help.
If you have any tips or tricks of your own please leave them in the comments below. I really hope these tips have helped you!x

    May Favourites!

I have decided to share with you some of the things that I have been using and loving throughout the month of May :)

Sleek Blush by 3 blush palette : Lace 367

This blush palette is amazing! All three of the colours have amazing pigmentation and last pretty much all day! I've always been a big fan of the sleek individual blushers but have never decided to buy a palette, but now I have i cant believe I even lived without it! Having 3 brushes all in one palette is so handy and definitely helps speed up my makeup routine. The first colour "chantilly" is a beautiful shade of orange and instantly warms up your face without the use of a bronzer. My favourite colour in this palette is the one in the middle "gulpure". This is stunning, shimmery, peachy pink colour that also can double as a highlighter. My MAC soft and gentle & Benefit high beam have been pushed to the back of the drawer. It casts a beautiful golder shimmer over the cheeks. I would recommend staying away from that middle colour if your more into matte blushers. The colour at the other end "crochet"  is probably the one i use the least as it is a little bit to bright for my liking and would probably suite someone with a slightly fairer skin tone.

Seventeen dolled up 3-way liquid eye-liner : carbon black

I have no idea why i have been spending almost £20 on eye liner in the past when i can get this one for just under £4 and is actually a lot better quality. It is quite intimidating when you open it up as it has 3 little nibs on it but believe it or not this makes it much easier to work with. This product is eye liner made easy! I would get your hand on it if you can but unfortunately it is only affordable in the UK but you could get it from ebay / amazon for the same price.

    Boots Vitamin E night cream

This night cream is actually life changing! Within a week of using it i could already notice a difference in my skin. It's has a very thick consistency so it is very moisturising. I have oily skin and i haven't found it to make my face feel like a grease pan at all. Although it dose provide a lot of moisture it gives just enough. As it is suitable for all skin types i'm sure you can all use it! It leaves the skin feeling fresh, hydrated and soft. It enriches the skin with vitamin E witch i have found helped with my redness and hipper pigmentation. Would definitely say this is a product worth getting your hands on!

Rimmel 25 hour lasting finish foundation : 100 Ivory

If you're looking for a foundation that rally lasts on the skin and gives a really natural look, this is the one for you! Iv'e lost count on all the times i have been getting compliments in my foundation when  i wear this! It gives a quite dewy finish but it mattafies as soon as any powders hit and stays that way until the end of the day. I wouldn't say it lasts 25 hours but it dose last a long time. I also wouldn't call it a full coverage either, in my opinion you get a bit more of an medium - full coverage (like an 8/10). You literately cant feel this on your face when your wearing it. I often forget i'm even wearing foundation when I'm wearing this!

New Look pure colour liquid lip gloss : 77 fuchsia

I want to start by saying if you're not a fan of slightly sticky or glossy lip products then  don't even look at this! But if you like a bit of gloss then you'l love this. This is one of those things that dose stick to it's claims. It actually lasts pretty much all day through eating and drinking still maintaining its glossiness. The colour it's self is also beautiful. I just like to pop a bit of it on my finger and then  lightly apply to my lips as i am not a fan of very bold lip colours on a day to day basis, but when i am feeling a bit more adventuress i will just apply it straight on to my lips and i can tell you the pigmentation is amazing! I would actually go as far as saying it beats my hour glass liquid lipstick!

    My Morning Skincare Routine.

I decided to share with you all my skincare routine for the morning.

    Morning Skincare.
I like to keep my morning skincare routine fairly simple. I already have enough to do in the morning so adding a complex skincare routine doesn't fit in to the schedule I already have.

    1) Cleanse

I think it is very important to wash your face in the morning. Your skin repairs his self whistled you sleep so getting rid of all the execs oil  and dirt off of your skin is important. It also give a better, cleaner base for make up. Using a facial wash/scrub in the morning  makes me feel more awake when I splash the cold water in my face. I apply the product to my hands (only about a 10p size amount) and mix it in with a bit of cold water and work it in to a milky lather. I then work it into my skin using circler motions and then rinse off with cold water to seal the pores. This cleanser has active charcoal in it so it is very detoxifying witch is great to use in the morning as that is the most common time of the day when your skin is crawling with toxins!

    Boots Tea Tree Witch
    Hazel Facial Wash
    - With Active Charcoal

    2) Moisturise

It is also very important to moisturise your skin in the morning as it gives you a very smooth base for make up to. You need to get a moisturiser that caters to YOUR personal skin type. I personally have combination skin. My forehead and the sides of my nose are oily but the rest of my face is normal. This moisturiser leaves my skin feeling smooth and controls the oil on my face. Even if you have the oiliest of oily skin it is still important to moisturise your skin as the deep layers of your skin may be dehydrated. Also when you are slightly older and you start getting wrinkles, these may be  reduced if you start moisturising early. This moisturiser has SPF 15 so its great to wear in the sun. All I do with this is apply it evenly to the entire of my face.

    Nivea Light Moisturising
    Day Cream - Oily &
    Combination skin

Please let me know if you would like to see a Night Time skin care routine. x

Top 5 Nail polishes For All 4 Seasons.

I think we all have that nail polish that we wear all year round. That perfect colour that's appropriate for all 4 seasons.I do to, so I have decided to share them with you all. Here are my top 5 all year round nail polishes.

    .
    1) Revlon Nail Enamel : 097 Plum Seduction.
This is the perfect all year round colour because its a gorgeous shade of pink, which is perfect for the summer and spring but is still has quite plummy tones to it as the name suggests so it is ideal for autumn winter. This nail polish will stay on your nails for a very long time without chipping and delivers incredible opacity with 1 coat. I would 100% recommend this nail polish to a friend.
This product markets for £6.49 at boots.

    2) Barry M Gelly High-Shine Nail Paint : 410 Green Berry.
This is the most beautiful shade of green there is out there! It's slightly lighter than your average autumn winter green so it fits in perfectly for spring and summer, but it still is a perfect shade of green to match your Christmas Tree. This colour is hard to chip but comes of easily with a good remover, the consistency is lovely and the finish is wonderfully glossy. One thing I will say is that this nail polish takes its time to dry, but after all perfection takes time.
This product markets at £3.99 at boots.

    3) Barry M Nail Paint : 309 Peach Melba       You may look at this nail polish colour and thing it's more of a spring pastel. Even though it is   obviously a very beautiful peachy pastel with subtle coral undertones witch would usually appeal as more of a spring/summer colour, but I think the muted nude under tone to this colour makes it appropriate  to where during the colder months as well. I personally prefer slightly brighter colours that stand out and make a statement so this is quite subtle for my taste witch makes it different to a lot of nail polishes in my collection. You may need to apply a few coats of this as it dose not have the best colour pay off with the first coat and may apply a bit streaky.
This product markets for £3.99 at boots.

    4) Maybelline colour show : Winter baby.
There's not much I can say about this, a white nail polish is a staple for all year round and all occasions! The lighter the nail polish you ware the longer your nails will look and you can't get any lighter than white so even the shortest of nails will look amazing with a nail colour like this one. The consistency of this line of polishes are beautiful and has amazing lasting power. I would recommend any colour from this line as they have some amazing colours it's a definite bargain!
This product markets for £2.99 at boots.

    5) Butter London Nail Lacquer : Stratford Honey.
I decided to throw a slightly pricier nail polish in here for those of you who are a big believer in 'you get what you pay for'. It goes with out saying that glittery nails are appreciated all year round and especially in the colder months. This is definitely more of a autumn winter nail polish but I definitely think you could get away with this one during the spring and summer. These nail polishes have amazing lasting power and dry very fast so I believe these are completely worth the price.
This product markets for £12.00 at boots.
